A transparent 7-inch, one year on
Babymetal are marking the one year anniversary of their Intuit Dome show with a special 7” release, ““My Queen: Intuit Dome Anniversary Edition”“, pressed on transparent vinyl. The announcement was made through the band’s official YouTube channel, accompanied by the video ““My Queen” (feat. Spiritbox) (Live from Intuit Dome)“. A pre-order link for the record was included with the announcement.
The two-sided release splits the collaboration across studio and stage. Side A carries the studio version of “My Queen (feat. Spiritbox)”, while Side B captures the live performance from Intuit Dome, where Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante came on stage to perform the track with Babymetal.
Tracklist
- SIDE A - “My Queen” (feat. Spiritbox)
- SIDE B - “My Queen” (feat. Spiritbox) [Live from Intuit Dome]
Courtney LaPlante on the B-side
The B-side is a document of the Intuit Dome appearance itself: the recording on the vinyl is the version in which Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante joined Babymetal on stage, bringing the studio collaboration into a live setting. The video released alongside the single presents that same live performance, and both the record and the clip are timed to the anniversary of the show.
Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi and Momoko Okazaki
Babymetal is a three-member unit. Suzuka Nakamoto, known as Su-metal, sings lead and dances; Moa Kikuchi, known as Moametal, delivers screams and dance; and Momoko Okazaki, known as Momometal, does the same and has been part of the line-up since 2023. Okazaki had previously served as one of the backup dancers who filled in during the absence of Yuimetal, who left in 2018 for health reasons, before being confirmed as the third member. The group’s instrumental backing comes from the session musicians billed as the Kami Band.
Five albums since 2014
Babymetal formed in Tokyo in 2010, initially as a sub-unit of the idol group Sakura Gakuin before becoming an independent act in 2013. The band has released the studio albums “Babymetal” (2014), “Metal Resistance” (2016), “Metal Galaxy” (2019) and “Metal Forth” (2025), plus the 2023 concept album “The Other One”, which the band does not count as a fourth studio record. “Metal Forth”, released in August 2025, was the first album to feature Momometal and leaned heavily on collaborations, with seven of its ten tracks made with artists including Bring Me the Horizon, Electric Callboy and Tom Morello. The band has issued records through BMD Fox, Toy’s Factory and Cooking Vinyl, and took the Kerrang! Spirit of Independence Award and the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Breakthrough Award in 2015.
The band’s official website, babymetal.com, carries further details alongside the announcement.
