Babymetal is the groundbreaking Japanese kawaii metal phenomenon formed in Tokyo in 2010, pioneered by lead vocalist Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) alongside scream-and-dance performers Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Momometal (Momoko Okazaki). Fusing blistering power metal, speed metal, and arena metal riffs with infectious J-pop melodies and theatrical choreography, the group became a global touring force, headlining arenas worldwide and earning acclaim from major metal institutions.
