Destroy Boys have announced their new album “FOIE GRAS”, set for release on 5 March via Epitaph Records. The record is available for pre-order and pre-save now, with several limited edition vinyl colour variants offered through the band’s store.
Alongside the album details, the Sacramento-born band released the lead single “Hysteria” on all streaming platforms. The track comes with an official music video co-directed by the band’s own Violet Mayugba together with Vince Lopez. The video draws on Analog Horror films such as The Mandela Catalogue and Backrooms, as well as The Shining.
The band described “Hysteria” as a working-class revolt against a system that expects people to live on scraps. According to the announcement, the song introduces the restless energy of “FOIE GRAS”, a record that moves between the personal and the political while refusing to settle into any one sound.
Violet Mayugba behind the camera
Violet Mayugba is the guitarist of Destroy Boys and took on a new role for this release, co-directing the “Hysteria” video with Vince Lopez. She is one of the women at the core of the Sacramento band’s line-up, alongside vocalist and guitarist Alexia Roditis. The band formed in Sacramento and has built its reputation on a restless, style-shifting sound that the new album is said to continue.
The announcement was made via Epitaph Records, with pre-orders and pre-saves already open ahead of the 5 March release date.
