British alternative band Daytime TV have announced their forthcoming studio album “Rodeo”, released alongside a new single, “Meditate”, which is out now. The album is due on 19 February 2027 on Marshall Records, the label the band signed to in 2026.
“Meditate” shows a more pop-leaning side of the band compared with the rougher edges of their recent releases “Pause”, “Sun” and “Creatures”. The song was written by frontman Will Irvine during a heatwave and reflects his use of mindfulness practices while recovering from a severe, life-threatening autoimmune illness he spent much of 2024 overcoming.
Written during a heatwave, “Meditate” is a nostalgic look back at what could have been. A chance missed, the ‘what if’ of THAT relationship. Maybe we could’ve done better. Everything was there for us but we let it pass us by and now our lives have gone in different directions.

Irvine said the illness changed how the band approached the record:
When you come close to losing everything, all your inhibitions disappear. You stop caring about trying to fit into a specific genre or pleasing anyone else. “Rodeo” is about stepping boldly into who we really are as a band and as people. It’s an album built on energy, survival, and pure conviction.

Produced by Pete Hutchings
“Rodeo” was produced by Pete Hutchings, whose credits include Royal Blood, Foals and Gang of Youths. The album holds twelve tracks: “Sun”, “Pause”, “Feels”, “Creature”, “Meditate”, “Power”, “Love Isn’t That Simple”, “Messiah”, “Rise”, “Anger Mgmt”, “Faithless” and “Daytime TV”.
The album follows the band’s rise through touring with acts such as You Me At Six and Twin Atlantic, and performances at BST Hyde Park and Mad Cool Festival. Formed in 2020, the four-piece signed to Marshall Records, home to The Molotovs and Nova Twins, in 2026.
Naomi Boschetti holds the low end
The band’s line-up is Will Irvine on vocals, John Caddick on guitar, Naomi Boschetti on bass and Gareth Thompson on drums. Boschetti joined the alternative four-piece, who formed in 2020 and built their reputation as one of the UK’s emerging live acts, sharing stages with You Me At Six, Twin Atlantic and Two Door Cinema Club.
Eight cities with the Music Venue Trust
Fans can hear the new songs live this October, as the band play intimate venues in partnership with the Music Venue Trust. The tour takes in Hull, Coventry, Newport, Milton Keynes, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Sheffield and Edinburgh.
