Chaos Rising
Chaos Rising is an international all-female metal collective that started in 2019. It has no label, no fixed line-up and no albums, and instead puts out a new original song and video every month. A Quietus feature of August 2021 described members from several European countries, Argentina, Iran, Russia and Australia, among them French guitarist Stéphanie Nolf, who co-founded it and mixes the recordings, and British guitarist Catherine Fearns. Songs range from the doom piece The Greatness Beyond to the metalcore leaning Hostile Eyes and Limbo with Iranian singer Behnaz Ghavidel.
Women in Metal Spotlight: All-female lineup featuring Stéphanie Nolf – guitar; Catherine Fearns – guitar; Nicole Trinchero – drums; Behnaz Ghavidel – vocals.
