Crescendium, the Hanover-based metal project led by vocalist and guitarist Elena Cor Tauri, will release its new album “DRAC” on 11 November 2026. The record is available for pre-order now on Bandcamp, both as a digital album and as a digipack CD limited to 100 copies. Buyers of the digital pre-order get one track immediately, with the full album delivered on release day.
The digipack edition ships shortly after release day and comes with a booklet containing the artwork and lyrics. The digital version is offered as a download in 16-bit/44.1kHz quality, with MP3 and FLAC among the available formats.
Six tracks from prologue to epilogue
“DRAC” holds six tracks. It opens with “Prologue: As Within, So Without”, followed by “Dämmerlicht”, “Ravish My Flesh, Soil My Name”, “Anderswelt”, “Chandra” and the closing “Epilogue: As The Universe, So The Soul”. Two of these songs have already been issued as singles this year: “Ravish My Flesh, Soil My Name” came out in August 2026 and “Chandra” in September 2026.
“DRAC” is the second full-length from the German outfit. The debut album “Within” appeared in 2023, preceded that same year by the singles “Aurinko” and “Dead Air”.
A horror fairy tale in video form
Alongside the album pre-order, Crescendium has released an official music video for “Chandra”. The band describes the song as a feminine black metal saga, a horror fairy tale about the transformation of an innocent girl into a new entity. The video was edited and produced by Amos Sorri of Moya Horror, while mixing, mastering and sound production were handled by Collapsed Sanity Productions. Music, lyrics and the video script were written by Elena Cor Tauri.
“Don’t run away from your shadows. Instead, embrace them.”
- Elena Cor Tauri, Crescendium
The band frames its music under the banner of Mystic Metal: philosophical, emotional and gloomy metal with progressive and melodic elements, moving between death, black and progressive metal. Crescendium was founded in 2018 and has toured with bands such as Napalm Death, Aephanemer and Ancst, played shows across Europe and appeared on regional television.
Elena Cor Tauri at the helm
Elena Cor Tauri fronts Crescendium on vocals and guitars and writes the project’s music and lyrics. She founded the project in 2018 and has led it through the debut album “Within” and a run of singles. Outside Crescendium she has been involved with Frantic Disruption, Human Debris, Sura, Trial and [T]Error, and ΞίΦοΣ (Xíphos).
Crescendium has one live date announced so far: 7 November at Bei Chez Heinz in Hannover, Germany.
