Detroit hardcore and metalcore veterans Walls of Jericho have announced their return after ten years without a new record. The band revealed that its new album, “System Error: Humanity”, will be released on 13 November, breaking a decade of silence since their last studio output.

To introduce the record, Walls of Jericho have presented the opening track, “True Til’ Death”. The song combines thrash riffing with heavy rhythms, marked by threatening cymbal hits and a relentless kick drum. Lyrically, vocalist Candace Kucsulain delivers a fierce performance about the wearing down of anger and the apathy that replaces old motivation, exploring the resilience needed to push through that process of transformation.

A decade after “No One Can Save You from Yourself”

The new album follows a long gap in the band’s discography. Walls of Jericho formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1998 and built their catalogue through releases such as “All Hail the Dead” (2004), “With Devils Amongst Us All” (2006), “The American Dream” (2008) and “No One Can Save You from Yourself” (2016), the band’s most recent album before this announcement. Along the way the group also released the EPs “From Hell” (2006) and “Redemption” (2008), and their records have appeared on labels including Eulogy, Genet and Napalm. The band was inactive between 2001 and 2003 before returning to regular activity.

Candace Kucsulain up front

Candace Kucsulain has been the lead vocalist of Walls of Jericho throughout the band’s recorded history. Her aggressive shouting style and commanding stage presence have been described as defining the band’s early releases. She fronts a line-up that includes bassist Aaron Ruby, drummer Dustin Schoenhofer, lead guitarist Bobby VaLeu and rhythm guitarists Kyle Gailey and Chris Rawson, with Chris Towning touring on guitar since 2022.

With “System Error: Humanity” out on 13 November and “True Til’ Death” already available, the Detroit band closes a ten-year recording gap and returns to the current heavy music scene. The band shared the news through their official channels on 15 October 2026.
