Ankor have released “ITACHI · blood moon”, the single that opens the run-up to the Catalan band’s new album “I SEE RED”, and have started taking pre-orders for signed LP and CD editions of the record. The announcement came through the group’s official YouTube channel, where the track is described as available everywhere, with the album itself scheduled for 20 November 2026 through UNFD.
Four Naruto Villains
“I SEE RED” follows the mini album “Shoganai · Mini Album Vol. 1”, which Ankor released in October 2024 after signing with the Australian label UNFD. The new album is built around the same lyrical concept the band has been developing across its recent singles: each song takes a villain from the Naruto series as its subject. “ITACHI · blood moon” arrives as the lead single, joining the material already released under the album banner, namely “MADARA · endless dream” from September 2025, “NAGATO · purple eyes” from January 2026 and “DANZO · lying ghost” from March 2026, the last of which featured MAH of the Japanese band SiM.
Signed LPs and CDs on Sale
Alongside the single, the band opened pre-orders for “I SEE RED” in signed LP and CD formats. No further format details, track list or artwork were given in the announcement. Ankor released their last full-length album, “White Dragon”, in 2019, with “Prisoner” following as a single in December 2022 and “Embers” in June 2024.
Jessie Williams From Bristol
Jessie Williams sings lead in Ankor, and her voice is the constant across the band’s recent shift from the Spanish-language heavy and power metal of its early records to the alternative metal and metalcore sound of today. She came from Bristol and joined the band in 2014, taking over from Rosa De La Cruz, and has since fronted the albums and singles released through UNFD. Outside Ankor she is also known for the project Lasagabuster.
Twenty-Three Years Since Els Pallaresos
With “ITACHI · blood moon” out and “I SEE RED” set for 20 November 2026, the band’s attention turns to the album rollout and to pre-order sales. Ankor formed in 2003 in Els Pallaresos, a village near Barcelona, and its line-up also includes drummer Eleni Nota, guitarists David Romeu and Fito Martinez and bassist Julio López.
