The Keening is the atmospheric doom and chamber folk project created by American multi-instrumentalist Rebecca Vernon, former guitarist, vocalist, and chief songwriter of Salt Lake City doom legends SubRosa. Weaving heavy distorted guitars, mourning violins, hammered dulcimer, and hypnotic vocal harmonies, The Keening continues SubRosa's visionary legacy with monumental records including Little Sins and Devotion on Relapse Records.
