Heavy metalAll-female line-upFemale vocalist

Burning Witches is a Swiss heavy metal band from Brugg, active since 2015, which grew out of guitarist Romana Kalkuhl's wish to start an all-female metal band. After a self-produced demo in 2016, the band released Burning Witches in 2017 and Hexenhammer in 2018, then Dance with the Devil in 2020 and The Witch of the North in 2021. The Dark Tower followed in 2023 as its first album on Napalm Records, and Inquisition came out on 22 August 2025. Non Stop Music Records and Nuclear Blast also appear as labels.
