Until Rain have posted a video about “Marionettes”, the closing track of the band’s third album “Anthem To Creation”, on their official YouTube channel. The Greek-British progressive metal group use the clip to talk through the making of the song and to point fans to their Bandcamp page, where their albums and merchandise are sold.
The band describe “Marionettes” as one of the longest songs on the record.
One of the longest songs on the album (9.5 min), it felt like the best choice to close this epic 80-minute prog journey!

Nine and a half minutes to close
No release date for “Anthem To Creation” appears in the announcement, and the post gives no track list beyond “Marionettes”. What it does establish is the scale of the record: an 80-minute running time, with the closing song itself at 9.5 minutes. “Marionettes” is presented as the endpoint of that sequence, chosen because of its length.
Donna Zed on backing vocals
Donna Zed has sung backing vocals in Until Rain since 2015. Her role sits alongside lead vocalist Cons Marg in a line-up that also includes Theodore Amaksopoulos on guitar, Lefteris Germenlis on keyboards, Matthew Vella on drums and Dinos Athanaselos on bass, who joined in 2018. The band’s database entry lists her as the woman in the line-up.
Until Rain formed in 2009 and is rooted in Greece and London. Earlier releases include the full-length “Season V” (2019) and the live album “Strepsa” (2023), and the band has worked with ROAR! / Rock of Angels Records. “Anthem To Creation” is identified in the post as their third album.
