Arkona will tour together with Seth and The Great Old Ones, the bands announced. The three acts will share the bill on an upcoming tour, although the announcement did not include any dates, cities or venues, and no ticket information has been given yet.

Pagan Metal From Moscow

Arkona was formed in Moscow in 2002 by vocalist Masha Scream and Alexander “Warlock” Korolyov, originally under the name Giperboreya. The band’s lyrics draw heavily on Russian folklore and Slavic mythology, and its music incorporates traditional Russian instruments. After an early split in 2003, Masha Scream carried on and the group’s debut album Vozrozhdeniye followed in 2004 on Soundage Production. Later albums such as Slovo (2011), Yav (2014), Khram (2018) and Kob’ (2023) were released through labels including Napalm Records, and the band has toured widely across Europe and North America, including festival appearances at Hellfest, With Full Force and Brutal Assault.

Masha Scream, Founder and Voice

Masha Scream, whose real name is Maria Arkhipova, is the founder, vocalist and main songwriter of Arkona, and also plays keyboards in the band. She founded the group in 2002 and kept it alive after the 2003 breakup, writing the material that became the debut album. She has also sung with the project Nargathrond.

Waiting For Dates

With the line-up of bands now confirmed, further details on the tour’s schedule and venues are expected to follow from the bands and the promoter.
